John BranderhorstBasic Philosophy/Heart for Counseling
I have always had a heart for counseling and bringing health and growth into the lives of those with whom I have worked. A constant in my life has been a passion for working with adolescents and their families. This translated nicely into working effectively with couples and individuals. My hope is people find me to be safe and assuring, while at the same time, direct and honest.

In my practice as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, my goal is to bring relational wholeness into the lives of those I have the privilege to counsel. This may involve dealing with emotional hurts within, as well as dealing with factors from outside a person that have long-lasting effects in their lives. I have dealt with a variety of issues from depression and anxiety, to issues plaguing young people like being anxious, oppositional, hurt and angry. I am comfortable dealing with a variety of clientele such as adolescents, individuals, couples and whole family systems.

I invite you to call me and find out more about who I am and “what makes me tick” as a person and therapist. I am not God’s gift to the profession, but feel I have the training and emotional and spiritual sensitivity to deal with you right where you are.

In His grip,
John Branderhorst (a.k.a. JB)
